SecureSpace bought Nalley Valley Self Storage at 2001 S. Tacoma Way in Tacoma, WA, which will be rebranded as SecureSpace Nalley Valley. The four-story property has 60,272 square feet and 118 rentable parking spots. It’s SecureSpace’s sixth store in the Seatle MSA and is 92 percent occupied. Source: SecureSpace

Adams Property Group made five purchases in the Southeast that together added about 2 million square feet to its portfolio. Adams now owns and manages the newly built Monster Self Storage sites in Valdosta, GA and Statesboro, GA. Adams also now is managing the new Your Storage Units facilities that opened in Florida’s Kissimmee and Jacksonville, and North Augusta, SC. Adams also owns about 1 million square feet of retail and flex space in South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia. Source: pr.com

Westport Properties purchased its first two Illinois properties, with an 885-unit facility at 1516 N. Orleans A in Chicago and a 378-unit facility at 3510 Wilmette Ave. in Wilmette. Westport will rebrand the two sites under the US Storage Centers brand, which operates more than 10 million rentable square feet of self-storage. 1516 N. Orleans A is on Chicago’s Northside and features wine storage, climate-controlled units and more. 3510 Wilmette Ave. is on Chicago’s North Shore and features boat parking, climate-controlled units and more. MJ Partners Self Storage Group represented the seller in the transaction. MJ Partners, founded in 1993, has been involved in more than $3 billion in U.S. transactions. Nicol Investment Co. in Nashville, TN sold a five-facility portfolio comprised of CubeSmart-managed facilities located throughout the Nashville Metro Statistical Area. Hines Global Income Trust is the buyer and facilitated the transaction. The facilities are in Franklin, Hendersonville, Murfreesboro (two) and Nashville, with a total of 3,204 climate-controlled units spread across 341,202 NRSF, as well as 13,445 NRSF of ground-floor retail. Source: Connect CRE 

Midcoast Properties Inc. announced the sale of All Star Mini Storage at 8 Newnan S. Industrial Drive in Newnan, GA. All Star Mini Storage sits on 2.53 acres, and has 348 standard and climate units. It’s located about 42 miles southwest of Atlanta, GA. Michael Morrison of Midcoast represented the seller, with a regional buyer making the purchase. The buyer plans to expand the facility and also bought Annex Storage in Newnan, which is also set for expansion.  Source: PR.com
