Doing More: Storable Releases Annual Corporate Responsibility Report
As a company, Storable is led by the motto Do More. These two words define our approach to business and customer care, and it is what drives us to deliver unmatched technology that helps operators streamline and maximize efficiency.
But living up to the Do More ethos means looking beyond profit margins and market share. It demands that we also Do More when it comes to protecting the environment and building strong communities. These goals are far from mutually exclusive, in fact, they go hand and hand.
Sustainable and socially responsible business practices improve operational efficiency, drive innovation, and contribute to strong financial performance over the long-term. They are also becoming critical factors when it comes to accessing capital and attracting top talent.
Storable’s 2023 Corporate Responsibility Report
This is why Storable has made a commitment to develop and implement environmental, social impact and governance policies that reflect our dedication to sustainable and responsible business practices. To that end, Storable recently released its second annual Corporate Responsibility Report, which you can download here:
Here are a few key highlights from the report that demonstrates Storable’s progress on our ESG-related goals in 2023:
- Storable reduced overall carbon emissions by 70% since 2020.
- Storable offset its carbon emissions through the purchase of Energy Attribute Certificates and the planting of 190 trees in 17 countries.
- Storriors contributed 500 hours of volunteer service with more than 40 organizations
- Storable donated more than $36,000 to over 60 charitable organizations. The causes ranged from equitable access to tech, animal welfare, LGBTQIA+ advocacy, food insecurity, neurodiversity research, and crisis aid.
- Storable launched a new governance structure composed of employees and senior executive leadership sponsors. The Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Sustainability (IDEAS) Committee will oversee and support the ongoing commitment to environment, health and safety, social responsibility, and other public policy matters.
- Storable expanded its number of employee resource groups, including the addition of NeuroSpicy for neurodivergent employees and Voices of Color in Tech (VoCiT) for Black tech professionals.
Looking Forward
As we make progress on our goals, we continue to look for ways we can still Do More. We can’t help it, it is just in our DNA.
So what’s next?
Our transition to a distributed work model has resulted in the elimination of more than 500 daily commutes and eliminated more than 1,100 tons of CO2 from entering the atmosphere each year. We also offset 100% of our corporate travel. Still, we’re committed to going even further and becoming the first organization in the storage industry to have a carbon negative footprint by 2025.
