Atlanta, GA-based Coro Realty seeks a conditional-use permit to build a 147,000-square-foot self-storage development in Gainesville, GA. The city council will hold a public hearing on Nov. 3; the property is zoned highway business. The facility would come to the busy Flowery Branch intersection of Gaines Ferry Road and McEver Road. The storage units would be spread out among several buildings on a 7-acre site, also off Bell Drive and across from Four Seasons. Valley Bank prepared a $23 million, three-year, interest-only construction loan for a 1,000-unit storage facility (above) to go up at 3421 Route 22 in Branchburg, NJ, with a permanent conversion option for owner Irv Cyzner of Cyzner Properties. Progress Capital secured the loan from Valley Bank. The project will include three two-story buildings, a covered boat/RV storage area, a vault holding 2,000 safety deposit boxes for storing valuables and 4,000 square feet for a specialized wine storage cave designed for restaurants and caterers. Compson of Plantation LLC has filed plans to build a three-story self-storage facility with 124,860 square feet spread over 950 units, plus 13 parking spaces, in Plantation, FL (below). Compson bought the 2-acre site at 1481 N.W. 65th Ave. for $3.35 million in July. The property has a 14,180-square-foot industrial building, which is vacant. The city’s Planning and Zoning Board was scheduled to review the site plan application on Nov. 1. Robert Bishop of Annapolis, MD leads Compson. In Florida, the city of Parkland is being asked to annex property on its north side so that Miami Beach, FL-based developer Feldman Cos. can start commercial development. The request concerns a 3.83-acre site at 7820 Loxahatchee Road, just south of the Broward/Palm Beach County line. Feldman Cos. wants to build a three-story self-storage facility with about 160,000 square feet.
