The notorious Dun-Roamin’ Ranch Motel, once known for being associated with drugs and crime, then demolished in 2019, will be replaced by Platinum Self Storage.
Kilgore, TX-based Roberts and Hatchett Partnership owns the property at 2015 E. Marshall Ave in Longview, TX. The partnership also owns Zippy J’s and other gas stations/convenience stores in the area. The new, one-story facility will be built in two phases, with 46,000 square feet in the first phase and 25,000 in the second. All units will be climate-controlled. Construction will start in about 60 days.

Geeleher Enterprises has proposed four new self-storage buildings totaling 35,800 square feet in Westfield, MA. They would sit on 1.6 acres on Southampton and North roads. Some North Side residents object, saying water resource district zoning protects the land and that self-storage buildings are prohibited. Source: The Westfield News

Highland Development Ventures of Cold Spring, NJ hopes to open its new 868-unit self-storage facility at 465 South Main St. in Manahawkin, NJ by mid-May after supply-chain problems slowed the construction process. It will have 88,275 rentable square feet. The opening originally was scheduled for late 2021. Extra Space Storage will operate the facility. Co-owners Cameron and Jamie Lindau got approval for the final phase of construction for Madison Verona Self Storage, 4201 Maple Grove Road in Verona, WI.
