Every expo is a momentous event for us at Storable, but the 50th anniversary of the annual Self Storage Association Fall Conference & Trade Show was an extra special occasion that we will be remembering for years to come. Last week was a great reminder of the progress made by the industry over the past five decades as it evolved from an emerging niche sector into a real estate powerhouse driven by tech and innovation.
In celebration of this journey we couldn’t pass up the chance to sponsor the “50 on the 50 Celebration” at Allegiant Stadium featuring none other than award-winning musician Darius Rucker. The private performance was packed with familiar faces and new friends alike just soaking in the performance and we can’t think of a better way to have capped off a busy trade show.
Of course, it wasn’t all about the big party. Storable got down to serious business as well, sponsoring the thought-provoking SSA Women’s Council’s Panel and Breakfast. The extraordinary panel of female trailblazers shared their insights on leadership, overcoming challenges, and the lessons they’ve learned on their journey to the top.
Storable also hosted a panel discussion moderated by our own CEO Chuck Gordon on the topic of market conditions, technology strategies and operational wins. Operators Chuck James of Sparebox, Peter Smyth of White Label, and Sean Venzia of Cubix joined the panel and participated in an in-depth conversation about the cutting edge impacts of AI and data analysis on the future of the industry.
Now that the Storable crew has returned from our annual Las Vegas adventure, we’re back to work with new insights and energy from this unforgettable 50th SSA trade show. Here’s to another 50 years!
