Connecting and Innovating at the Inside Self Storage World Expo – A Storable Recap
This year’s Inside Self Storage World Expo at Caesar’s Forum in Las Vegas was not just another event for us at Storable; it was a showcase of passion, innovation, and community. Our dedicated Storable team came excited and left inspired. Our commitment is always to you—our valued customers—and understanding your unique challenges and experiences firsthand.
One of the unforgettable highlights was the keynote address by Ms. Anne Ballard, known fondly throughout the industry as “The Hat Lady.” Anne, a long-time friend and customer of Storable, shared her invaluable insights gained from decades in the storage business as she prepares for retirement. Her session, filled to the brim and overflowing into the aisles, was a testament to her impact and the respect she commands in our community.
Our excitement only grew as we interacted with both new and familiar faces, witnessing first-hand the vibrant growth of the industry. Seeing those who, just a few years ago, dreamt of owning their first facility now thriving and expanding, reaffirms our mission: to empower operators to realize their potential of running top-performing facilities.
AI Impact on the Self-Storage Industry
The event also gave us a glimpse into the future with the buzz around Artificial Intelligence (AI). It’s exhilarating to see many of our technology partners embracing AI and the potential impact it could have on revenue. The ISS Expo was a perfect opportunity for Storable’s Chief AI Office, Eppie Vojt, to present “Harnessing The Power of AI to Boost Your NOI.”
Within the presentation, several key areas were explored:
- Smart Facility Management: Diving deep into how AI can optimize operational efficiency and drive down costs, empowering facility managers to streamline processes effortlessly.
- Tenant Experience Enhancement: Exploring AI-driven technologies like chatbots and recommendation engines, elevating customer service standards and tenant satisfaction to new heights.
- Demand Forecasting and Revenue Optimization: Uncovering the possibilities of AI-powered analytics, attendees gained insights into how predictive algorithms can anticipate market trends and fine-tune pricing strategies and revenue streams.
- ROI of AI and Best-in-Class Examples: From real-world case studies to exemplary success stories, Eppie shed light on how early adopters are reaping the rewards of AI implementation, showcasing the transformative potential for ambitious self-storage operators.
- Future Innovations: Eppie provided a peek into the future, where AI stands poised to shape the nature of the self-storage industry, paving the way for unprecedented innovation and growth.
But, as always, the best part of the event was the opportunity to connect personally with our storage community. Hearing from our customers, partners, and other industry experts is what truly enriches these experiences. Each interaction is a reminder of why we do what we do.
Until next time, ISS! Here’s to innovation, efficiency, and a brighter future in self-storage. Let’s make it happen, together.
